A Glitzy Red Carpet Affair

The air buzzed with anticipation as the Middle East eagerly welcomed the premiere of Dune: Part Two at VOX Cinemas, The Galleria, Al Maryah Island. Denis Villeneuve, along with stars Josh Brolin and Dave Bautista, graced the red carpet, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

A Star-Studded Premiere

The premiere became the event of the season as it showcased Abu Dhabi’s potential to become a hub for the film industry. Dune: Part Two is the sequel to the 2021 film Dune, and they even shot a scene in Abu Dhabi, transforming the Liwa desert into the mesmerizing landscape of the desert planet Arrakis.

Star Power in Abu Dhabi

Both Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two utilized Abu Dhabi’s Liwa desert for filming, employing a team of 300 local, 250 international crew, and 500 extras for the 27-day shoot. The presence of Denis Villeneuve, Josh Brolin, and Dave Bautista at the premiere in Abu Dhabi on February 18 added a touch of star power and excitement for fans.
