The Dubai Metro Blue Line’s construction is set to kick off in 2024, bringing exciting changes to the city’s transportation network. The AED 18 billion project will introduce 14 stations and extend the Metro network by 30km, with over half of it running underground.

The Blue Line aims to serve vital areas expected to reach a population of about one million by 2040, as per the Dubai Urban Plan. It will enhance connectivity and integration by linking seamlessly with the existing Red and Green Lines.

Once completed in 2029, the Blue Line will become the backbone of Dubai’s transportation system, connecting five major urban regions. Covering 131km with 78 stations and 168 trains, this project will transform Dubai’s travel scene for the better.
